She earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she was named a Dean’s Scholar, served on Law Review, and gained significant courtroom experience while interning with both the Honorable Judge Rory R. Olsen (Harris County Probate Court Three) and the Honorable Judge George C. Hanks, Jr. (United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas).
Jaclyn believes in using her voice and legal skills to improve her community, from her article aimed at improving safeguards for veterans—Encouraging Exploitation of the Military by For-Profit Colleges: The New GI Bill and the 90/10 Rule—which was selected for publication in the South Texas Law Review and awarded the David Mizgala Award for Outstanding Legal Writing, to her ongoing pro bono legal work.
